Week 33 - Reunion

Week 33 - Reunion

We had a very quiet week, which was good because last week was so busy and next week will be as well. We didn't take any trips, the kids haven't even left the compound. I've done walking errands most mornings, grocery, pharmacy and bakery. We're stocking up since we're not sure what will be available in Madagascar. There's a swim mask in the cottage and I've enjoyed swimming around the reef with it looking at the fish. The boys have no interest in the beach or sea life, I guess they've seen enough. Too bad we didn't realize how done they were before booking Bali. We've done math, language and pool swimming every day, since we missed a couple days last week with all the science activities. S is now a little fish, jumping off the side all by himself and swimming around the deep end with no trouble. J and I are still struggling with the route from Madagascar to Bali. We're set to Johannesburg, but it turns out we bought the wrong type of tickets to transit through Singapore which is not open to non-transit tourists, so we're trying to not lose too much money by rebooking. It's frustrating and takes lots of hours on the phone. We did find out that New Zealand will likely be opening in time for us to visit, so we're excited about that. That's about all we've done, no pictures this week.

Next week we will do PCR's on Monday and will visit the aquarium since it's near the lab and PCR's seem to require something fun afterwards. That will be a short bus ride. Tuesday we leave for Madagascar, we have to do another PCR on arrival then stay in a hotel in the capital until we get the results, which is usually within 24 hours. Thursday we renew passports at the embassy and fly to Tolagnaro. So a busy week, but not much fun stuff until Friday. I do think we'll love Madagascar once we get out of the capital though. I'll write next weekend and let you know how it all works out.
